Jeffrey C. Toppe is a pioneer in the realm of consumer claims, and has made a career out of helping consumers harmed by big business. He has been a litigator since the day he was sworn in to practice law in 2014. For the first part of his career, he devoted his time to helping victims of childhood lead paint poisoning obtain compensation from negligent landlords who let their homes fall into disrepair. He now focuses exclusively on helping victims of deceptive business practices.

Starting in 2020, Mr. Toppe worked on some of the nation’s first mass arbitration claims, and was instrumental in helping obtain over ten million dollars for consumers during that time. Since then, he has opened his own law firm and has worked exclusively on consumer-facing claims, helping victims of false advertising, data breaches, cryptocurrency theft, and other consumer claims he finds interesting and novel. His current focus is on putting an end to false and misleading email advertising and helping victims of internet addiction.

Mr. Toppe has a track record of taking cases the distance—win or lose. He is not afraid to take a case to trial, and has been commended for his persuasiveness and presence in the courtroom.

Mr. Toppe graduated in the top 5% of his law school, and served as the Executive Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review. Mr. Toppe is a member of the Maryland, California, Michigan, and Texas bar. During his spare time, Mr. Toppe is the lead singer of a local band, is an avid skier and hiker, and is 100% the favorite uncle to his two nephews.
